Welcome to the
Delachaise Neighborhood Association
About Us
The Delachaise Neighborhood Association (DNA) is an active neighborhood association with its official boundaries being St. Charles St. to Freret St. and Louisiana Ave. to Napoleon Ave. Our goal as a neighborhood association is to improve the quality of life for our residents and to maintain a healthy business community.
DNA meets on a regular basis on the third Tuesday of every month at 6pm at Martin Wine Cellar, 3827 Baronne St. We strive to bring meaningful topics to each meeting and regularly have local and state politicians as guest speakers. We also hosts several social functions throughout the year, such as Night Out Against Crime and an annual holiday party.
Our neighborhood has a residential mixture of large and small circa 1900’s victorian, arts and crafts, and bungalow style homes, both single and multi-family. The neighborhood also has a small business corridor in the 3800 - 4000 blocks of Baronne St. and 1800 block of Dryades St., as well as several bed and breakfast establishments, boutique hotels, historic bars, restaurants, and a tennis center.
Active participation in the neighborhood is key to having a safe, fun, and healthy place to live within our community. What better way to ward off crime, fight blight, and help our business corridor than to get involved and make friends as well.
We hope to see you at our next meeting!
